Reports are coming in of a truck that has crashed close to the bridge over the Yowaka River on the Princes Highway between South Pambula and Eden.

It is understood that local residents have rushed to the scene to assist and stop the traffic along with other drivers on the highway.
There are reports of black smoke and ACM has been told that the truck left the road.
We will provide more information as it comes to hand.

NSW Police spokesman has said that police have arrived on scene along with paramedics and have confirmed that the truck driver left the road.

A NSW Ambulance media spokesman said that three crews responded to the call which was received just before 5pm.
"It was a single truck rollover. Paramedics treated a male in his 30s for lacerations to his head and a head injury and he has been taken to South East Regional Hospital in a stable condition," the spokesman said.

NSW Police said that the Princes Highway will be closed for several hours with diversions in place.
A NSW Police media spokesman said that at about 5pm emergency services responded to reports of a truck crash just south of the Yowaka River Bridge, near Pambula.
"Officers from South Coast Police District attended and located a truck, which had left the roadway and rolled onto its roof, while travelling in the south-bound lanes of the Princes Highway," the spokesman said.
"The driver, a 30-year-old man, was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to South East Regional Hospital at Bega for non-life threatening injuries," the spokesman added.
The truck has been confirmed as being a Bobbins B double truck which was heading south with freight.
Police inquiries are continuing.
