Merimbula Craft Beer Festival returns for the second year running in association with the Merimbula EAT Festival which this year is spread out between Eden and Cobargo to avoid the huge numbers gathering on the shores of Fishpen.

There are three separate events that form the Craft Beer Festival; on Saturday, March 6 from 12 noon to 4pm Club Sapphire will be the place to sample craft beers.

Breweries include, Capital Brewing, Bentspoke, Jindabyne Brewing, Long Stocking, Tumut River Brewing, Hard Road Brewing, Dangerous Ales, Sailors Grave, Jervis Bay Brewing and Grassy Knoll.

Food vendors include Eastwoods Deli, Merimbula Gourmet Oysters and Club Sapphire

The club has said that it is a family friendly event. There will be beerducation classes, trivia, competitions, food and live entertainment.

Tickets are $10 plus booking fee which includes festival entry, a festival keep cup and access to a wide range of beers.

Breweries will have a wide range of beers available for tasting starting from $5

Sunday's degustation also includes some amazing local produce and some beers brewed specially for this event.

The beer tasting will continue on in the evening at Club Sapphire with an over 18s event from 6-10pm.

This will include craft beer, food and live entertainment.

Everyone is encouraged to come along and try out some of the different craft beers on offer and meet the brewers. Bookings are essential though.

On Sunday the Craft Beer Festival takes on a different look with the special Beergustation Event.

It's all about beer and food pairings. It runs from 3-6pm and is a cocktail style event with small portions of food, concentrating on the food matching experience, and talks from the brewers.

This event will feature beers brewed exclusively for the event or limited release beers.

Event organiser Nigel Ayling said the Merimbula Craft Beer Festival brings together 10 of the best local and regional craft breweries.
