Sapphire Coast Turf Club hosted a seven race TAB meeting with $160,000 prize money on March 1.
Club manager Rob Tweedie said there was quite a good crowd of about 300 people attending the meeting on the first day of autumn.
"It was a good day for the women with lady riders winning four of the seven races," he said.

"Kembla Grange trainer Theresa Bateup also had a great day having trained three of winners on the day including the Merimbula Cup winner 'Club Legend' ridden by jockey Brock Ryan."
Sapphire Coast Turf Club donates to selected charities throughout the year and during the course of the day presented a cheque from its Calcutta fund for $1000 to the Sapphire Coast Youth Development Fund.
There to accept the cheque was chairman of the Sapphire Coast Youth Development Fund, former Paralympian Ron Finneran OAM, who introduced skiiing for people with disabilities to the Winter Paralympics, and fund secretary Graham Brown.
The Sapphire Coast Youth Development Fund was set up to foster the advancement and participation of young, developing and talented individuals, 18 years of age and under, requiring assistance to further their ambitions.
The organisation provides financial assistance to selected individuals for a wide variety of recognised sporting, cultural and other activities, whose personal circumstances prevent them from reaching their full potential in their chosen activity.
"This year the club is also sponsoring two classes (led and show) at the upcoming Bombala Show where retired racehorses will be competing," Mr Tweedie added.
The next race meeting at Sapphire Coast Turf Club is Tradies Day sponsored by Mitre 10 on March 26.
