Rita and Craig Palmer had always been inspired by the film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and in July last year were ecstatic to open up their dream store.
Adding extra special touches, Rita made a large Willy Wonka cut out and strived to get quality Wonka bars for her store to re-create the chocolate fantasy world.
The fantasy runs deeper, with three golden tickets hidden among her numerous treats, much like in the movie, although the lucky finders score a free Wonka Bar rather than a tour of the magical factory that makes them!
So far only one lucky visitor has found a golden ticket, leaving two more to be found.
She explained the order comes in 200 bars and only three golden tickets are hidden among the numerous bars, much like in the movie.
Just like the much-loved movie, the candy shop is likely to take you to a magical place with displays of lollies to make visitors nostalgic about old-time favourites.
"We're getting old lollies back in so that when parents come in with their kids they say 'this is what mummy grew up with'.
"Even the adults get excited, they are like a child in a candy shop again," Rita said.
Rita is aiming to get more novelty lollies, not the ones sold in chain stores, and bring in originals from around the world.
"I am trying to be different," she said.
The store can be found on 3/33 Quondola Street, Pambula.
