Kylie and David Nash from Merimbula Mowers & Marine have donated a new chainsaw and blower to the Merimbula Rural Fire Brigade.

The two items are invaluable tools for bush firefighters and the RFS is extremely grateful for this donation, Chris Nicholls from the Merimbula brigade said.

"As a voluntary and not-for-profit enterprise, we often have a need for some specific equipment that makes us more prepared and adaptable to the threat of bushfire and other life-threatening events, and fortunately over the years our brigade has been strongly supported by individuals in our community, community service organisations, and by small and larger businesses in our region," Mr Nicholls added.

He said the support makes a big difference and the brigade we appreciated it.
