A teenage boy has been arrested following a stabbing at a high school in Sydney's west.

Police say a 14-year-old boy was stabbed in the back and arm at Arthur Phillip High School in Parramatta at about 8.30 on Monday morning.
He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to The Children's Hospital at Westmead in a stable condition.
Officers from Parramatta City Police Area Command established a crime scene and began an investigation.
A 14-year-old boy presented to a police station around 8 pm on Monday night and was arrested.
Inquiries are continuing.
