The Park St amenities block in the Merimbula CBD is set to be upgraded this week.

Bega Valley Shire Council stated the project was identified as a priority by the Merimbula Chamber of Commerce and through public feedback, and was scheduled to begin on Tuesday, September 22.

The work will include the painting of all surfaces, the replacement of the partitions in the male toilets, and the replacement of the doors and damaged tiles in the female toilets.

The external brick walls will also be rendered and painted, with the addition of artwork planned for the near future to brighten the appearance of the block.

Access to the toilets will be impacted while the work is undertaken, with temporary options to be made available.

There are public toilets available at Spencer Park, the boat ramp, Ford Oval and at Top Lake. The project will be completed by Friday, weather permitting.
