At Panboola the entrance to the wetlands was living up to its name while around Pambula, the low-lying areas showed evidence of the heavy rain event.
Those on tank water are enjoying the security of full tanks after around 150mm earlier in the month.
The wild weather is expected to abate but independent weather forecaster Dennis Luke believes another east coast low could be forming ready to dump some more wet weather around the weekend of August 7, 8.
While it is too early to be definite about another east coast low, Mr Luke says it has been unusual to see two such events in July.
