In the morning Bev and Col took to the water at Top Lake and armed with a beautiful white chocolate mud cake made by Bev they headed to the bay at Robyn's Nest.
There they were joined by a small number of canoeing friends and to make the occasion special Col sprinkled petals on the water.
Later that day, following careful organisation by daughters Cindy and Jodie, Sally and Anthony Daly from The Wharf Restaurant arrived with their celebration dinner.
They were joined (online through Zoom) with the family where the two daughters wore their own wedding dresses in celebration of their mum and dad's 50th anniversary.
On Sunday there was more cake and coffee, this time at Ford Park with a couple of other friends.
"We tried to make the most of it," Bev said of their celebration.
