Senator for NSW Jim Molan said community organisations played a vital role in supporting Australians, and this grant program ensured community organisations got the practical support they needed to reduce their energy use and costs.
"Community organisations in the Eden-Monaro region will be grateful to save on their electricity bills during these difficult times," Senator Molan said.
To ensure this funding is spread equitably across Australia, two grants per electorate will be awarded.
"These grants will allow community organisations the chance to make permanent changes to their energy efficiency and storage measures, which will allow for lower electricity bills and energy usage," Senator Molan said.
The guidelines and application forms are available from www.business.gov.au and by telephone on 13 28 46.
Assistance is available from 8am to 8pm, Monday to Friday, to help organisations get relevant information and apply.
