Clubs throughout the Bega Valley have shut following the orders from the federal government for non-essential services to close, but those with golf courses will still have a revenue stream - albeit small - at this stage.

General manager at Tura Beach Country Club Don Field said the club had to stand down 12 staff, but had retained six with golf-related jobs.
"There are restrictions of course around the use of golf carts and the distances people should be from each other. We are policing this and we have to be responsible," Mr Field said.

"I think getting on the golf course is good for our mental health and it's a chance to have a catch up, at a safe distance of course. We have an ageing demographic and we're concerned about their health," he said.
Pambula-Merimbula Golf Club board vice-president Tony Freeman said golf was continuing, but only one person was allowed to be in a golf cart and flags should not be touched and remain in place on the greens.
"The pro shop has distances marked out, only four people can be in there at any one time. We want to comply and keep the course open. Practice facilities are also open," Mr Freeman said.
The club has looked to its members to assist and asked for donations to help keep the course running. It is retaining golf related staff but has stood down poker staff and bar staff - the club took back the operation of the bar a month ago.
New general manager of two months Grant Taylor, previously with the Eden Fishermen's Club, will be retained.
Manager at the Lakeview Hotel Alex Salgado said he was forced to stand down between 30-35 casual staff.
"Everything will be closed including the accommodation and the bottle shop and we won't be doing any takeaways," Mr Salgado said.
The hotel's Sydney based owners have a couple of hotels.
Secretary manager at the Merimbula RSL Club Michael Mutsch said they would be holding a meeting with all staff on Wednesday.
From Wednesday, March 25 the club will open the bottle shop in Main Street from 12 noon - 8pm daily and has a takeaway menu on the website and in the club.
"You can order and collect takeaway in person, including takeaway cake from our dining room daily between 12 noon - 2pm and 5.30-7.30pm," Mr Mutsch said.
All transactions must be by card.

At Club Sapphire CEO Damien Foley put out a statement to say that the club was closed but would seek further advice in relation to the outdoor activities of the Seaside Health Club and From Little Things urban farm.
He promised the club would "still be here when this virus passes" and urged everyone to "stay safe and look out for those most vulnerable members of our wonderful local community during this most difficult time".
