The Pambula Cup is a new feature this year to replace the club's Boxing Day races.
Following on from the Bega Cup where the club had more than 280 nominations across two days, the Pambula Cup this Saturday boasts a further 70 runners keen to contest on the coast.
Lashings of rain have loaded up the track and the conditions have been listed as heavy 8 on Tuesday, but officials said clearing conditions should see the course clearing to it's normal strong standard.
Club officials said they were maintaining a focus on helping local communities rebuild and to help strengthen the local economy by encouraging visitors to visit for a full day of racing action.
The club will have fashions on the field and officials said the theme was about "sharing the love" with everyone encouraged to don some pink or red for the day.
It is a six race card with full TAB backing and a strong list of competitors are expected to put on some spectacular speed for racegoers.
The day will include repeat visits from Bega Cup-winning trainer Theresa Bateup with a number of runners as well as plenty of regular visiting trainers to Sapphire.
Reg Manning, Joe Cleary and the homegrown Barbara Joseph training stables are among some of the familiar names with officials expecting a great day of competition.
Free buses will run to and from the club with pick up and drop off times and more information at www.sapphirecoastturfclub.com.au.
Gates open at noon.
