Ms Smith said the surf club wanted to focus on the local community organisations and volunteers "who are dedicating their time and effort to keeping us safe".
Consequently, and with the generous assistance of the Merimbula RSL, Club Sapphire and the Lake View Hotel, Pambula SLSC was able to raise $1700 in three separate raffles.
Pambula SLSC is now donating $1200 to the Pambula Rural Fire Brigade as it was unable to do its annual caravan park fundraiser (the members were a little busy) and $500 to Potoroo Palace, which is also busy with injured wildlife.
"We as a volunteer community organisation understand and want to support the magnificent efforts of other local community organisations," Ms Smith said.
