A man faces multiple charges after a caravan, allegedly stolen from a bushfire-affected area, was found in Mogo yesterday.

A 52-year-old man was arrested at a Mogo property on Tuesday, January 14 after South Coast Police District officers found a caravan, along with three chainsaws and a generator stored inside it.
He was taken to Batemans Bay Police Station and was charged with goods suspected stolen in/on premises - motor vehicle, goods suspected stolen in/on premises, and possess prohibited drug.
The man was refused bail and will appear at Batemans Bay Local Court on Wednesday, January 15.
Police commenced inquiries after a home owner returned to their property south of Batemans Bay on January 11 to find their caravan, with an estimated value of $40,000, was missing.
They attended a property on the Princes Highway at Mogo where they found goods suspected of being stolen. A small amount of cannabis was also allegedly located and seized by police.
The 52-year-old attended the property and was spoken to by police before he was arrested.
South Coast Police District crime manager, Detective Inspector Scott Nelson urged the community to continue to report thefts to police or Crime Stoppers.
"We have a large police presence in bushfire affected areas - day and night - to provide support to local communities," Detective Inspector Nelson said.
"I want to urge members of the community - if you see something, say something. If you have suspicions at all and wish to report a crime, don't hesitate - contact police or Crime Stoppers."
