The Pambula Village Vibes Community Christmas event returns on Thursday, December 19 with a chance to shop until late, enjoy food and music and see Santa.
Organised by Pambula Rotary and Pambula Business Chamber it is an evening when many shops will be open till late and offering special deals and prizes.
Michelle Pettigrove president of the Pambula Business Chamber said the evening would include pop-up street stalls, lots of great family street food and music from the Sapphire Coast Concert Band and street buskers. There will be a jumping castle and giant yard games, face painting, pavement artists and roaming characters from Monsters Inc, Peppa Pig and Frozen.
And most importantly there will be a visit from the big man. Santa will arrive in his vintage fire truck at 6pm.
At Merimbula the elves have been busy creating a range of exciting decorations Merimbula Chamber of Commerce Nigel Ayling said. "They have also sourced a massive 5m Christmas tree for the courtyard near Nosh and there are plans for a special 'turn the lights on' event," Mr Ayling said.
There will be a special Christmas shopping day on Sunday, December 15 with lots of activities around town.
The chamber is encouraging all retail businesses to be open from 11am-3pm and spread the Christmas love with decorations and carols playing. The day will include a visit from Santa, face painting, street activities and gift wrapping.
Pambula's very own Chamber Choir Spirit Allegro are giving two performances this weekend in Wolumla and Nethercote. The program, which includes the chance to sing along, is made up of carols and songs which reflect the different way Christmas has been interpreted over the years'
Spirit Allegro will also be joined by Lumiere Recorder Ensemble and the Windsong Singers so this concert will be a mixture of musical styles, textures and sounds for Christmas.
Spirit Allegro will perform Saturday, December 14, 2pm Wolumla Hall and Sunday, December 15, 2pm at Nethercote Hall. Tickets $15 available at the door.
