This year's Carols by Candlelight known as 'Carols on the Mountain', will be held at Magic Mountain, Sapphire Coast Drive, Merimbula, on Friday, December 6, commencing at 6pm.
This free family event is being presented by the Lions Club of Pambula-Merimbula with entertainment organised by Narelle Hetherington, Frankie J Holden and Michelle Pettigrove.
Lions president Phil Hall said it would be an evening of wonderful musical entertainment including both traditional and contemporary carols with many local and talented artists performing.
"It is again a great pleasure for the Lions Club to be involved in this wonderful event that brings so much Christmas cheer and goodwill to our local communities," Mr Hall said.
Santa will be arriving at 5.30pm for a Meet and Greet in the gazebo and will be available for photos and to hand out goodies to the children. Entertainment starts at 6pm and during the evening many different artists will appear.
The combined churches will have a nativity play, the Bega Brass Band will perform along with Merimbula Public School, the Sapphire Coast Learning Community, the Ladies in Black cast and Candy and Lillian McVeity.
There will be plenty of carols so everyone can join in the singing.
There are prizes too for the best dressed family and child; so pull at the Christmas hats, the green and red clothing and get in the mood with the Carols on the Mountain Christmas special.
Safe, battery operated candles will be on sale at a reasonable cost plus glow sticks and Lions members will be cooking up their usual fantastic barbecue or alternatively bring your own goodies to enjoy. This is an alcohol free event.
Ther's also a mega raffle, Lions have said, all of which will be drawn on the night.
This year there will be three, free shuttle bus pickups from the Merimbula Coach Stop in Park Street to Magic Mountain. Pick up times are from 6-6.30pm and return from Magic Mountain to Merimbula Coach Stop from 9.15pm.
Enjoy the family friendly, alcohol free event and don't forget to BYO chairs and picnic rugs.
