Bowlers enjoy district presentation

A forecast of hot weather did not deter the 42 women's bowlers from taking to Tathra's greens late in October to celebrate the 2019 Bega-Imlay District Friendship and Presentation Day.

After lunch, District President, Jan Key, presented the trophies and certificates, remarking that participation in District events often gives players access to the wider arenas of Regional and State competitions.

Tura Beach grade two pennants members Pam Reynolds, Jan Duncombe, Sis Neilson and Helen Elliot were happy to accept the trophy on behalf of all their team.

Jan noted that this year the Tura Beach Grade 2 Pennant side were the 2019 State Runners-up. The Merimbula Open Fours team were State Semi-finalists and that Club's Senior Pairs and Mixed Pairs competed in the State finals. Emma Pettit, also from Merimbula, was a Semi-finalist in the State Singles Champion of Champions.

Jan praised the players for continuing to support the District events and urged everyone to promote participation in next year's competitions.
