After lunch, District President, Jan Key, presented the trophies and certificates, remarking that participation in District events often gives players access to the wider arenas of Regional and State competitions.
Jan noted that this year the Tura Beach Grade 2 Pennant side were the 2019 State Runners-up. The Merimbula Open Fours team were State Semi-finalists and that Club's Senior Pairs and Mixed Pairs competed in the State finals. Emma Pettit, also from Merimbula, was a Semi-finalist in the State Singles Champion of Champions.
Jan praised the players for continuing to support the District events and urged everyone to promote participation in next year's competitions.
