Australia-based jazz vocalist Helen Fenton, also known as "The Swingin Songstress", is headed to the Far South Coast.

Supported by the Down Town Jazz Club, Fenton will play Club Sapphire alongside The Peter Locke Trio on Thursday, October 17.
Her band comprises Peter Locke on keyboards, Mike Walsh on bass and Ken Vatcher on drums.
Fenton specialises in swing music from the 40's and 50's, in the style of Ella Fitzgerald, Billy Holiday, Sarah Vaughn, Frank Sinatra and Mel Torme.
Since 2000 she has led the Sydney Sound Big Band on a regular fortnightly gig at Rockdale RSL Club.
Fenton has performed at the Manly and Dubbo Jazz Festivals and many corporate events. She has recorded two albums on the LaBrava Label and is also on the Jazz Action Society committee as musical coordinator.
Tickets cost $15 for jazz club members and $20 for visitors, and the gig will kick off at 7.30pm.
