SCAFL coordinator Mitch Wallis will lead the eight-week social competition with organisers looking for interested players and teams ahead of the opening round.
Two games will run each week with the opening match at 6.15pm and a second game at 7pm.
"Last year AFL9's provided a great social sport and was very successful and used by the local clubs as a lead out of the 2019 home and away season," a spokesman said.
The competition is nine-a-side with two females minimum on the field and teams are urged to have 10 for at least one sub.
AFL 9s is a touch-footy competition and people of all abilities over 14-years-old are welcome.
The spokesman said it's a very friendly and social competition and was a "great way to get the whole family engaged". Everyone is welcome.
There is unlimited interchange so you can swap out as you wish.
Entries are $30 per player or $300 for a team, covering the whole eight-week draw.
Individual entries are welcome - visit afl9s.com.au and enter your postcode to find the Merimbula competition.
There is an option during the registration for "I want to join a team" and organisers will get you sorted out.
