Narooma Fibre Fest organisers are on a high after great workshops and markets over the weekend and an exhibition which continues at SoART Gallery until Wednesday, October 9, all of which celebrates the extraordinary creativity in our area.

"Its success is thanks to all the artists who entered their work, the enthusiastic workshop participants, their wonderful facilitators, and our great team at Narooma School of Arts who worked hard to pull everything together," Fibre Fest Coordinator Marg Hansen said .
"We also had a fabulous army of volunteers who helped set up, man the various posts over the weekend, provide delicious finger food at the opening on Friday night, made yummy treats for The Tea Cosy Café at the Studios, and then all those who helped dismantle everything and clean up afterwards. It was a huge but really rewarding effort by everyone."
The Fibre Fest was organised by School of Arts members.
The organisers would like to acknowledge the support of the many local businesses and organisations for the Fest. They include the Men's Shed and in particular Rick Hain who constructed Lady Baa Baa, Mid Town Silly Willys, Melinda at Ezyprint, Brian Hastie Real Estate, Narooma Surf Club, Mitre 10 staff, Narooma Fishing Club, Tim and Fiona at the Twist Factory, and Carol at Flowers by the Sea.
Prizes for the Fibre Fest raffle were donated by Four Winds at Barragga Bay, Mitre 10 Narooma, Noi Snith Naturopath at Tuross Head and Tracy at 4 Her.
