Grab your crew and head to the Shoalhaven City Turf Club to feast at the Nowra Foodie Night Markets from 5pm. Held every second second Friday through Spring, right up to mid-December. What's on the menu? All kinds of food trucks and pop-ups from savoury to sweet. There will be live music, a bar plus a jumping castle and slides for the kids.
Fibre Fest
Narooma, October 4-9
Do you get warm and fuzzy at the mention of textiles and fibre? There's a huge six days of fibrous colour, fun and friendship at the Narooma School of Arts Precinct (next to the Kinema). There will be drop-in fibre craft workshops including crochet and felting, a market place of handmade unique crafts for sale. Enjoy a sausage sizzle, cakes and cup of tea while you sit back, relax and soak up the creative atmosphere. There's also a special film screening of 'When Mary Meets Mohammad' on Saturday at the Twist Factory, 5pm.
ReBoot in Bermi
Bermagui, October 5-6
Kicking off the weekend's program on the Saturday morning are the professionally timed fun runs. There are three different runs with a new 5km route this year - No Hills 5km - and a No Adults 2km for the kids. After the runs, warm downs and presentations assemble your friends and family members together and enter the team tug-o-war challenge. On Sunday - ocean swims and an afternoon of golf. Other ReBoot activities include Tai Chi, yoga, Pilates, boot camp, stand up paddle (SUP) boarding, surf lessons, a kids' scoot and skate competition, Oops the Clown who will teach her famous circus tricks, healthy cooking classes and more.
Knife Show
Cobargo, October 6
The annual South Coast Knife Show has grown this year to include rare artisans from around the area. Love to tinker? There will be demonstrations in blacksmithing, knifemaking, leatherworking, pottery and ceramics, saori loom weaving and millinery. Other exhibits include instrument making, glass blowing and artistry, handmade kitchen knives, hunting knives, axes, blacksmithing and more. Bring in your knives for Randy the knife sharpener. Head down to Cobargo's School of Arts Hall from 10am-4pm.
Celebration of Woodstock
Pambula, October 5
To celebrate the Woodstock Music and Art Fair's 50th anniversary, many of the Far South Coast's top musicians will come together to perform songs from the legendary performers that played at the now famous festival. Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Joe Cocker, Santana, Joan Baez, Blood Sweat and Tears, Sly and the Family Stone and Richie Havens are just some of the incredible performers who will be celebrated on the day. With over 30 South Coast performers, the celebration of Woodstock will be held in the specially-created outdoor atmosphere of Oaklands Events Centre, Pambula. Gates open at 2.30pm, with pre-show music from 3pm. The Woodstock show kicks off at 6pm.
