The full length play is written by Sandra Shotlander and directed by Lis Shelley, to be performed by the StageFlight Youth Ensemble from September 21 to 28.
The mystery play revolves around a young newspaper cadet called Penelope, whose mother lies ill in hospital in a small country town.
Jack Bertolucci's circus is in town and loses its big top tent in a big storm.
Zena - a fortune teller - arrives with a bag of cash to save the circus.
Penelope is sent to the circus by her editor to take photos and find out the story behind the mysterious benefactor.
Christos de Rivera Y Ladrone, an ageing racing car driver and billionaire casino owner, sends a Dark Stranger from Bogota in Colombia to Australia to track down his heir. But what - or who - is the Crimson Firefly?
StageFlight director Lis Shelley has been rehearsing the cast of 15 talented young local actors over the last three months, most of whom also attend StageFlight Drama School in Pambula.
"This has been our most ambitious production yet - a collaboration with tutor Peta Burchell and Gabriela Green from Fling Physical Theatre," Ms Shelley said.
"Some of our actors have been coming to StageFlight classes for several years, others have only been with us for a term. They are working really well together and we look forward to sharing this play by Australian playwright Sandra Shotlander with local and school holiday audiences in September."
There will be six performances at Pambula Town Hall in Quondola Street: Saturday, September 21, at 2pm and 6pm; Sunday, September 22 at 2pm; Friday, September 27 at 6pm; and Saturday, September 28, at 2pm and 6pm.
The play runs for approximately two hours and there is an interval with refreshments available. The play has been licensed by the Australian Script Centre.
There will be comfortable rugs on the floor at the front so little people can see all the action, with both floor-level seating and raised seating in the hall for the grownups.
