After a thrilling season, the girls have claimed a spot in the ACT junior rugby union girls 10s this Saturday at Viking Park in Canberra.
The Red Falcons under 14s girls really drove home their ability after sitting at fourth on the ladder halfway through the regular competition.
Officials said the team gained momentum and surged through the back half of the season undefeated with renewed confidence and form.
"As the team, whose players come from Bega, Tathra, Cooma and Narooma, gained experience and clocked up playing time together, their class and team play shone through," a spokeswoman said.
The Red Falcons will face the Tuggeranong Vikings in a grand final repeat after securing their place with a do-or-die 22-15 win over the West Lioness'.
"Vikings have been the on-form team and competition leaders throughout - they will be a tough side to beat," said Coach Scott Harris of Bega.
"They have a good forward pack and some fantastic ball runners in their midfield which we will have to be on our game to mark and stop. However, I feel confident our girls will be up to the task and the team is really looking forward to the rematch. I can't wait to see the girls go at again this year," Harris said.
The coaches believe a loss to the Vikings in last year's grand final has lit a fire to reverse the result.
The Red Falcons face the Vikings Saturday at 10.50am at Viking Park in Erindale.
