In ladies play, the Penguinettes advance to the preliminary final with a resounding 4-0 win over the Bega She Devils on the day.
The major semi in the reserve grade became a headline fixture for the southern clubs with the Killer Whales aiming to shut out the Penguins who had pinched the minor premiership just two weeks prior.
Both clubs showed spectacular late-season form with goals incredibly hard to comeby as both keepers provided stoic resolve in the net for their respective teams.
Pambula's efforts were buoyed by a seasoned midfield and backline combination that never eased up marking Eden's speedy young flankers on the wing.
Despite some great attacking raids of their own, Pambula were kept out of the goals with Eden's back line and keeper Adam Donaldson providing stiff resistance.
Some excellent strikes at goal were deflected or caught by Donaldson.
However, Pambula's keeper had also been brilliant through out with some long dives saving against almost certain goals.
Sideline fans remarked that the keepers were having a best-on-ground performance during the tense match.
Play remained scoreless through the first period of overtime, but late in the second period Eden junior Patrick McKeown hammered home a left-foot blinder that split two defenders to sail towards the back of the net.
The Penguins rallied for the final three minutes of play, but a reply goal was not forthcoming with the club now to head to the preliminary decider against the Grasshoppers.
In other matches, the Wolumla Tigresses went down in a gritty 2-1 result to Eden with the Killer Whales advancing straight to the grand final in a game where striker Amber Seckold had shone with her immense turns of speed and powerful strike abilities.
The major final of the first grade men's saw the Bega Devils card a tough 1-0 win over the Wolumla Tigers with play going into extra time before midfielder Chris Dwyer found room for the match-winner.
Preliminary finals will be held at George Griffin Oval on Sunday.
