A man accused of an attempted murder in Pericoe on August 3 has been granted bail. Fifty-year-old Shane Russell Smith was granted conditional bail in Batemans Bay Local Court on August 19.

Smith is charged with causing wounding or grievous bodily harm to a person with intent to murder, dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm, driving in a dangerous manner and driving recklessly or furiously or at a dangerous speed or manner.
Police allege on August 3, Smith was driving a 2008 Toyota Landcruiser on Gumflat Rd in Pericoe, near Eden, when the vehicle was involved in an impact causing grievous bodily harm to his alleged victim.
He was arrested at Bega Police Station on Thursday, August 8.
Smith will face court on October 14 for a committal hearing.
