Owners of Brief Affairs Karyn Denaro and Dianne MacNamara couldn't believe their eyes when a three-course lunch and champagne arrived at their Merimbula shop courtesy of Anthony and Sally Daly of the Wharf Restaurant on Thursday, August 8.

"They popped in and delivered the most amazing lunch for us with entree, main, dessert and champagne, a white tablecloth and even a candle," Karyn said.

It seems that Anthony and Sally are planning to give a surprise pop-up lunch every Thursday in August to a business in town.

"They do a lot for the community and so we thought we'd just give something back," Sally said of the pop-up lunch at Brief Affairs. "It's a fun thing to do," she added.

"It was the biggest surprise from Anthony and Sally and the most amazing delicious lunch ever. It put a smile on our face. Everyone was laughing and smiling, including our customers. We had no idea. How lucky are we living in a small country town, having something like this. You wouldn't get this in a city," Karyn said.
