Day View Club
Merimbula Day View Club will celebrate its 22nd birthday at Merimbula RSL Club with a Chinese Banquet at the 11.30am for 12 noon lunch meeting on Friday, August 9. Bookings have closed and as this is a special meal, anyone who does not arrive without cancelling, will still be responsible for payment. The talented recorder group from Merimbula Public School will be providing entertainment on the day.

At the club's July meeting, 20 year member Helen Cook was sadly farewelled. Helen has been a very valuable member of the club, but is moving back to Victoria to be closer to family. She will be very much missed.
The Club would like to take the opportunity to acknowledge the support from local businesses for its recent Fun Day.
Art group
The next meeting of the Merimbula Arts Group takes place this Saturday, August 10 at 2pm at the Merimbula RSL Club. An interesting artistic video will be shown and members and guests are welcome to attend.
Also, the Pambula Village Gallery at Oaklands Centre features members works in all categories and styles at very reasonable prices. All works are by artists of the Bega Valley.
Garden Club
Celebrations were aplenty when the Merimbula and District Garden Club presented a new garden seat to the members of the Old School Museum in Merimbula.
The sturdy garden seat will compliment all the gardening done by members of the Garden Club in preparation for the Merimbula Festival celebrations which are being featured in the museum grounds on three Saturdays from August 17.
The seat was donated by the members of the Merimbula and District Garden Club, crafted by Lindsey Green from the Merimbula Men's Shed, and Pambula's Mitre 10 donated the pavers.
