A special invitation from Pambula Hospital nurse manager Kelly Jurd, to privately tour the stage 2 renovations prior to patient return was readily accepted by several Pambula District Hospital Auxiliary (PDHA) members.
The tour highlighted the improvements with newly designated configurations of the hospital facility as well as the supporting medical and equipment additions which will ultimately benefit both patients and staff.
The auxiliary's good work was clearly evident with 12 ceiling mounted TVs newly installed in the wards and the arrival of the eco vaccine refrigerator in the Assessment and Treatment Centre.
Following an urgent request from the nurse manager for a shower commode tilt and recline chair with a shower commode seat to accommodate patients with strokes, it was immediately approved by the executive of PDHA.
Also it was also pleasing to see the dedicated positioning of the PDHA honour board.
Friday evening meat raffles at the Royal Willows Hotel in Pambula continue to help raise the necessary funds to support Pambula Hospital needs.
