CWA particpates in Women Walk the World

Pambula-Merimbula CWA members took part in a special walk at Panboola.

The Pambula-Merimbula CWA participated in the Associated Country Women of the World (ACWW) global event - Women Walk the World by walking around Panboola Wetlands, followed by a well deserved cuppa at a local café at the end of April.

The aim of the walk is raise awareness of ACWW's work, promote the organisation and raise funds - this money goes to further develop their aims of raising the standard of living for rural women and their families through education, training and community development programs, supporting educational opportunities for women and girls and helping eliminate gender discrimination.

The next meeting of Pambula-Merimbula CWA is on Friday, May 17 at 9.30am at the CWA Hall, Toalla Street Pambula and at this meeting members will hear about the State Conference held in Albury, where five local members attended.
