Independent weather forecaster Dennis Luke believes there is between 20-30mm of rain heading our way over night on Friday and into Saturday morning.
"It will be very localised and most of it will happen between 9pm Friday night and 9am Saturday morning," Mr Luke said.
It's likely to be accompaied by high winds .
"Some places could see winds of up to 50-75km and offshire 30-40knots with 2-3m waves," Mr Luke added.
The system is predicted to move in an easterly direction offshore later on Saturday.
However he said there was not a lot more more rain around over the next week so we should enjoy it while we have it.
