Merimbula and District Garden Club members recently enjoyed a bus trip to Wyndham, where they visited Saaranin Organic Farm, then continued on to the Wagtail Cafe for lunch.

At the cafe they were able to see the Wyndham Basket Weavers who displayed their creations and demonstrated their skills.
Merimbula Garden Club members learnt of the many grasses and plants from their gardens which can be used in the process of creating baskets or household items, and they all enjoyed a chance to learn the weaving skills.
Garden Club members are looking forward to the visit of garden expert Margaret Sirl at the next meeting.

Visitors are most welcome to pop in and enjoy the usual club activities, morning tea, raffle, plant sales table and the plant and produce competition table.
