The Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) approach supports children aged under seven years who have a developmental delay or disability plus their families and carers.
The organisation supports families to help children develop the skills they need to take part in daily activities and achieve the best possible outcomes throughout their life.
The NDIS has engaged Early Childhood Partners around Australia to deliver the ECEI approach because they are experienced in providing early childhood intervention.
If you have a child aged from zero to six, you don't need a diagnosis of disability to benefit from the NDIS.
Your child must: be an Australian citizen, a permanent resident, or other visa holder with a Protected Special Category Visa though.
But check in your local area because a partnership has been introduced in Northern Sydney.

"Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) Cerebral Palsy Alliance has partnered with the NDIA in the Northern Sydney region to provide services that support the independence and social participation of children with a disability or developmental delay aged from zero to six," an NDIA spokesperson said.
"Reasonable and necessary supports can be funded by the NDIS in a participant's plan to enable them to achieve their goals.
"Some people with epilepsy have told us that they do not identify as having a disability, and therefore, believe they are not eligible for supports under the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
"But you may be eligible for the NDIS if you meet the eligibility requirements available on the NDIA website.
How it works
You can contact an Early Childhood Partner if concerns about your child's development have been identified.
As every child is different, your Early Childhood Partner will tailor support to your child's individual needs and circumstances. Your Early Childhood Partner will also provide you with information.
They may also:
- Connect you and your child with the most appropriate supports in your area, such as the community health centre, educational setting and playgroup
- Provide some short-term early intervention where it has been identified as the most appropriate support
- Help you to request NDIS access if your child requires longer-term early childhood intervention supports. If your child becomes an NDIS participant the Early Childhood Partner will work with you to develop an NDIS plan.
The NDIS contact centre is open Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm.
