It's the culmination of months of work cataloguing the shire's 101 most intriguing historic objects, or "treasures" as South Coast History Society president Peter Lacey prefers.
"It's taken a large group of people from across the community an enormous amount of time and effort to get to this point, and it would be no exaggeration to say that the project has been an eye-opener for every one of those who have been involved," Mr Lacey said.
"We have all learned of objects in the area that we never knew existed, and we have all been absolutely blown away by how much fascinating history relates to the area and to these objects.
"And we're sure that those attending this morning session on April 27 will be equally amazed by what is discussed."
Following the seminar, a bus tour will take participants to several little-known sites of historic importance few people normally visit.
Mr Lacey said the 101 objects to be included on the "Bega Shire's Hidden Heritage" list includes more than just items found in local museums
"There are also quite a few of the region's natural features, details of our unique flora, a number of objects of historic Aboriginal importance, and a few very historically-important objects that are normally hidden away in private collections," Mr Lacey said.
"We'll be spending a few hours sharing the stories about what we've discovered, and we will be providing attendees with a substantial booklet that describes and illustrates each of the 101 objects.
Details about the seminar are available from South Coast History Society, southcoasthistory@yahoo.com, or by phoning 0448 160 852. Admission tickets must be purchased in advance as they will not be available at the door on the day.
