It is a global event of peace, health, harmony and healing, with a theme of "One World, One Breath".
World Tai Chi day starts in Samoa on the last Saturday of April every year at 10am and ends in Hawaii almost 24 hours later.
As it turns 10am in each time zone around the world, people join together to practise Tai Chi and Qigong (breathwork and meditation in motion) for relaxation, health and healing.
The Merimbula event will be held at Spencer park on Saturday, April 27, from 10am - noon.
World Tai Chi Day is a free community event, but any donations offered on the day will go to charity.
Everyone is invited to attend to either take part in the exercises or simply just watch.
