A man has been charged with murder as part of a critical incident investigation into an alleged stabbing on the state's Far South Coast on Thursday.

About 3.10pm, April 4, police were called to Moorhead Street, Eden, in response to a possible disturbance between two men.
On arrival, police became aware of two men inside the home; one allegedly armed with a knife.
When officers entered the home, they found a 49-year-old man had been stabbed.
Despite the efforts of the officers and NSW Ambulance paramedics, the man died at the scene.
A 36-year-old Bega man was arrested and taken to Eden Police Station.
He was later charged with murder and refused bail to appear at Batemans Bay Local Court today (Friday, April 5).
A Critical Incident Investigation Team from Lake Illawarra Police District, assisted by State Crime Command's Homicide Squad, continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The investigation will be subject to independent review.
All information will be provided to the Coroner who will determine the cause of death and make any findings about the events leading to the man's death.
