Trike display
Expect to see in excess of 60 trikes driving through Merimbula on Saturday as part of the United Trikers Association visit to the area for their annual general meeting.
Merimbula has been chose for the association's AGM and long weekend meet. The association chooses a different place each year for the AGM and organiser Bruce Yalden said he decided to opt for Merimbula as it was "a very nice spot".
The trikers will do a mass ride through Merimbula at about 10am on Saturday morning heading for Oaklands, Pambula where they will have their trikes on display between 10.15-11.30am before heading to Eden.
Over 100 people have registered to take part in the visit and Mr Yalden said there would be "60 plus trikes" involved.
Bunnings info stall, Tura Beach
The polling booth is at Sapphire Coast Bridge Club Room, Shop 9 Tura Beach Shops but nearby Bunnings will host an information booth at the Tura Beach shopping centre, about its proposed development at the corner of Tura Beach Drive and Sapphire Coast Drive at Tura Beach.
Residents are invited to meet Bunnings representatives at the shopping centre in front of Woolworths at any time between 10am and 2pm. The company said that team members would be available to answer questions and provide information on the project.
The company said it plans to invest more than $17 million in the new warehouse, consisting of a main retail area, nursery, timber trade area, café and parking for more than 200 cars.
"If approved, the store would provide up to 75 jobs for local residents," the company said.
