Panthers, Diggers hold 'Come and try' AFL days

The Pambula Panthers under 12s celebrate a good result last season with the Panthers one of two clubs holding 'Come and try' days this weekend.

There will be 'come and try' sessions this weekend for both the Pambula and Merimbula Aussie Rules clubs. 

The Pambula Panthers and Merimbula Diggers will both hold sessions to get kids involved in sport. 

The sessions will run from 10am until 1pm with returning and new players welcome at either session. 

Junior competition caters to anyone between five and 16-years-old. 

The sessions will be held at Berrambool Oval in Merimbula for the Diggers and the Pambula Sporting Complex for the Panthers.

Both clubs will have their teams on board to introduce any child interested to the wonderful experience of AFL football.

Both clubs will have registration tables at each venue where you can sign up and secure your place in the 2019 teams.

There is no cost or commitment on these days it’s just come down and have some fun!

Both Clubs will be endeavouring to field and will be offering registration opportunities Auskick, under 10s, 12s, 14s and 16s into the Sapphire Coast Saturday Junior AFL competition.

The clubs welcome anyone who would like to come down have a kick and are happy to help with any information they can give.

A spokesman for SCAFL said the come and try days were "the perfect time to see if your child would like to have an opportunity to get involved."

He said both had a wonderful family atmosphere and long, successful histories within SCAFL.
