Volunteers spent a whole morning gathering together Bohemian Rhapsody inspired clothing to compete against nine other Vinnies stores in NSW.
"We are serious contenders, although nothing in the window display is for sale, we put together a whole rack of 80s clothes for people to buy," store manager Michelle Hayden said.
Get into fancy dress just as Freddie does in the movie, Bohemian Rhapsody which was released on Monday, February 11.
For three weeks, shoppers can head down to Merimbula Vinnies for a hit of nostalgia.
Anyone who purchases an item from the Bohemian Rhapsody inspired collection or any 70s or 80s vintage fashion item they will be able to enter a competition to win a prize pack.
A collaborator with Twentieth Century Fox and Vinnies, Jules Sebastian, commented on the styling from that era.
"The 70’s & 80’s was so experimental and fun! I loved working on the project to make the looks from the movie into something you can shop and wear from Vinnies.”
The initiative aims to encourage people to shop at Vinnies as well as celebrating the arrival of the box office smash hit.
