Riders will be raising much needed funds for the Leukemia Foundation where all money raised goes to assist people in the Bega Valley with blood-related cancer.
Sapphire Coast Hardware donated goods and services to the value of $1000, and encourage others to help out the good cause.
"It's all about making a community connection for us, we are so happy supporting a foundation like this," store manager Jeremy Schrieber said.
There are up to 50 horse rider enthusiasts bringing a four-legged friend to participate in the seven day event and are looking for individual sponsorship.
The ATHRA (Australian Trail Horse Riders Association) affiliated club have volunteered to host this year's annual Ride with Pride Charity event at Mila near Bombala.
"This is the first time this event has travelled this far south," president of the Sapphire Coast Horse Trail Riders Tony Hart said.
Mr Hart is one of two organisers who have been involved with staging the event for the past eight years.
The event is staged annually, each at a different regional location. Past events have been held at Upper Manilla, Ellerston, Canyonleigh, Adjungbilly and Nerrandera.
The event has so far raised over $300,000 for the Cancer Council and the Leukemia Foundation charities.
Mr Hart said he and co-organiser De'hanne Keir had been looking for a charity to support which could make a real difference to regional families.
"All monies raised go directly to regional families experiencing the demands of this disease," he said.
"People can enjoy a riding experience of their life with seven days of breathtaking scenery and great company," Mr Hart said.
Ride with Pride is a fully catered week-long event including nightly entertainment from March 23 - 30.
Riders have two options of how they would like to experience the trails each day.
“We take out two groups daily," Mr Hart said.
"The Walk and Talk group for those who want to walk and talk most of the time, the second group is The Banter and Canter group which is somewhat at a faster pace.
"People can change groups whenever they choose."
Mr Hart ensures the weekend will be made as safe as possible with experienced members on deck.
“Having so many horses coming together for the first time is a different experience for most, but because of the ATHRA training and their experience, members of the ride management teams know what to expect and how to manage any issues as they arise," he said.
"The management teams plan the rides to ensure safety is at the fore of each ride."
A few places are still available, to register for the event go to www.ridewithpride.com.au to complete a registration form on line.
