Grand finals were held for A and B grades on Monday night.
The Mark’s Mitsubishi team were the winners on the night with Mark Venables, Frank Davey, Jana Welsford (fill in Shelley da Costa), Jodie Whitby and Gen Ryan graciously accepting the top honours.
Organisers said it was a fantastic final round with the match coming down to the last few sets of the night.
B grade was won by the Bruiser’s BMW outfit of Darren Gordon, Marlene Veness, Kristy Stoken, Rachel Gordon and Chloe Venables.
Officials said there was some superb skills shown on the grass courts on the night, but the atmosphere made the competition all the better with plenty of smiles and laughter from the players and on the sidelines.
Organisers said they were delighted to welcome a number of new players in to the competition and encourage everyone to join in again when play returns next year.
“Merry Christmas to all our members and committee,” a spokeswoman said.
“We need everyone to keep this great social club going, so thank you all for your involvement this year.”
Dates will be advised in the new year for social and grading nights before the return of the night competition proper.
Players of all skill levels and new starters are welcome.
