The meeting has been organised by the Red Cross Emergency Services and Rural Fire Service following requests made by Mirador residences who wish to be better prepared during the upcoming bushfire season.
Marty Webster, Bega Valley RFS community liaison officer and a speaker from the Merimbula Red Cross Emergency Services team will discuss how to access information, how to recognise conditions and trigger points, how to prepare their households, and to look out for their neighbours.
There will also be a representative from Bega Valley Shire Council attending.
Team leader with the Merimbula Red Cross Emergency Services, Loretta Fella said the information will assist residents to develop their bushfire survival plan.
