“There will be a change of ownership but thanks to our wonderful dedicated drivers minimal disruption to services in the transition period.
“This is a wonderful outcome to what has been a stressful situation,” Ms Gordon said.
She sought to reassure customers that services would be maintained.
“I’d like to assure the community and all our customers that the veterans, school children, airport and disability and elderly patrons and our regular and new customers will now continue to be picked up by the same familiar faces as we begin this new era,” Ms Gordon said.
She was reluctant to reveal further details saying that she was waiting for the “legal process”.
“I want to thank Roger and Jenny Christie for their amazing service over the last 16 years and wish them well for their futures. Also thanks to the drivers who have moved on, retired or stayed with us. I also want to thank the community for showing us kindness and support in this stressful time we are delighted with this outcome and can now all move forward with most drivers jobs in tact and our wonderful community continuing to benefit from our extensive array of services,” she said.
Ms Gordon added that people could continue to ring Merimbula and Eden Taxis for transport needs.
