A motorcyclist has had his leg amputated after a collision with a car at Kalaru, near Tathra on the Far South Coast, Saturday, October 6.

About 2pm, emergency services were called to the intersection of Tathra Road and Sapphire Coast Drive, after reports a Harley Davidson and Subaru Impreza collided.
The rider, a 60-year-old man, sustained serious leg injuries and as a result his left leg was amputated.
He was airlifted to Canberra Hospital in a serious condition.
The driver of the Subaru, a 57-year-old woman, was taken to South East Regional Hospital with minor injuries. She will also undergo mandatory urine and blood testing.
A crime scene was established and diversions remained in place for several hours while the scene was examined by specialist police.
Officers from South Coast Police District will investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
It was the second crash in the area on Saturday with Tathra's Rural Fire Service posting on Facebook it had also responded to a single vehicle crash earlier in the morning.
