The September meeting of the Parkinson's Support Group commenced with the president introducing two new people living with Parkinson’s to the members. The meeting had a question and answer segment which got the new members from the last two months involved as they were able to get answers from personal experience from other members.

The president and secretary will be attending a support group conference in October where the president will be pushing for a specialist nurse for the Bega Valley. The president will also, at the request of Parkinson NSW, present the facts for the cluster of four first cousins from the one family as well as a father, a grandfather and aunt of one of the cousins also with Parkinson Disease.
Tania Dwyer will be quest speaker at the next meeting which has been changed from October 1 to October 8 due to the holiday weekend.
The president thanked thanked the News Weekly for its continued support, and said that in the last two months eight people living with Parkinson's had come to meetings after reading about the group in the newspaper.
