The junior Bulldogs had a tough battle with the Bega Roosters in the grand final at the Bega Recreation Ground last weekend, but it was the Bulldogs coming out on top.
A spokeswoman for the club said it was a “massive achievement, showing such talent and dedication for the sport they love.”
The spokeswoman went on to say the youngsters played brilliantly, shutting down Bega’s playmakers, while capitalising on their own chances to win 28-18.
“They showed their true sportsmanship and team morale from start to end,” the spokeswoman said.
“They have had such incredible support from everyone involved and it was inspirational to watch them in this special victory.”
The Bulldogs dominated the second half after the two teams were locked 12-12 at the break.
The Boys jumped to lead 28-12, but Bega found a late try for the final scoreline.
