At its August meeting Merimbula Day View Club's 21st birthday was celebrated with national vice president Pat McRae and zone councillor Valerie Hobbs in attendance together with visitors from Narooma, Bega and Merimbula Evening View Clubs and members' guests.

During the day president Danielle Watkins presented new members Marie Lucas and Rosemary Searles with their badges and zone councillor Valerie Hobbs presented Loretta Riddoch and Christine Elingford with their 10 year badges.
The day continued with entertainment by the wonderful Wobbles ukulele band which had everyone, tapping their toes, singing along and leaving with a smile on their faces.
At the September meeting on Friday, September 14 we will be entertained once again, this time by a dance group from Merimbula Public School. Bookings or cancellations for the meeting which starts at 11.30am for a 12 noon lunch at Merimbula RSL Club, can be made with Iris Ballard on 0448840752 and visitors are always welcome. View Clubs throughout the country are an important part of The Smith Family and raise over $1 million each year to sponsor 1100 Australian children in need. Merimbula Day View Club sponsors four of these children.
Cash Mob
Merimbula Cash Mob is on this Saturday, September 15. If you're passionate about shopping and supporting our local retailers then please come along, all ages are welcome.
The group will meet outside Twyford Hall in Merimbula at 10am. They will mob a retailer and then support a local cafe by heading there for morning tea. You can like the Merimbula Cash Mob Facebook page if you want to follow what they do.
Meals on Wheels
Bega Valley Meals on Wheels will operate a Pop Up Shop with free food in Merimbula at Twyford Hall, Merimbula on Thursday, September 13 from 11am to 2pm.
Meals on Wheels will show case the organisations food and services and volunteers and staff will be providing free food samples to the public.
There will be delicious desserts such as lemon cheesecake and chocolate mud cake, fresh pea and ham soup, and samples of healthy meals such as shepherd’s pie and beef stroganoff.
Come along and be part of the Pop Up and sample some of the delicious food from Meals on Wheels.
