The conference was opened by Mayor Kristy McBain, and the members and guests were entertained by Wolumla School pupils performing an excerpt from the Lion King.
The guest speaker was Barry Irvin, Bega Cheese executive chairman, who captivated the attendees with accounts of his life, both personal and corporate.
Judy Slatyer, CEO of Red Cross, spoke eloquently about the work of Red Cross, especially in these times of natural and man-made disasters.
After an excellent lunch by the Bega Nursing Home auxiliary, additional presentations by Red Cross staff Judy Harper, Linda Mayo and Ali McQueen were also well received.
