Shannyn Tasker (Giiggle) and Beau Boundy (Biffty) won race naming rights for the Eden winter meet, which they chose to dedicate to their engagement. But did so using their World of Warcraft avatar names – Giiggle and Biffty tie the knot.
“We thought we would have a bit of fun, it’s an inside joke between us and we had no idea our names would be everywhere,” Ms Tasker said.
The happy couple met through mutual friends six years ago at a midnight screening of Batman, hitting it off instantly.
“I would drive up to Narooma on my days off when I wasn’t working to see her,” Mr Boundy said.
“It literally just happened, we started hanging out and then it progressed from there, six years later and here we are,” Ms Tasker said.
Ms Tasker relocated to Eden to be closer to her new found love. Soon the couple tied the knot and have now exposed their engagement through Racing NSW’s channels across Australia, Asia and the USA.
