The 48-year-old was last seen in Mallacoota on April 24 wearing jeans and a T-shirt.
Police, with the assistance of Parks Victoria, Coast Guard, CFA and SES will be escalating the search in the coming days.
The Police Air Wing will be searching the Bastion Point boat ramps, Mallacoota Inlet, bush and scrubland, residential and other areas of interest around the Mallacoota area.
A Gippsland Water Police vessel with a Coast Guard vessel will be utilised for searches of the lower reaches of the Mallacoota Inlet and Harrisons Channel areas.
Search parties will be tasked to undertake searches of designated coastal areas and Mortimers Paddock Bushland Reserve.
Greg Tory is described as 185cm tall, short brown hair, blue eyes, large build with a grey goatee beard.
Police and family have concerns for his welfare due to a medical condition and the length of time he has been missing.
Mr Tory is known to frequent fishing spots in South Gippsland, Warrnambool and Sapphire Coast in NSW.
Police have released an image of Mr Tory in the hope someone recognises him and has information on his current whereabouts.
