The site is currently closed as the clean up continues, with the end goal of bringing the motor village back bigger and better than ever. State and federal government funds of up to $10 million were made available to residents and businesses on the south coast to assist with emergency requirements and cleaning up after the area was declared a natural disaster zone.
The motor village, which boasted a variety of accommodation options and was abundant with native animal and bird life, is slowly getting back on its feet, and has seen its Facebook page flooded with messages of support and offers of help as they continue to rebuild.
